Reasons for Shay's Rebellion
~There were too much debt
~People were in debt, but couldn't pay for it (in Massachusetts)
~Some people were arrested, others had their land taken away
~Unjust punishments
~People were being arrested without the right of law
~Unlimited power was granted to Justices of Peace, Sheriffs, etc.
~Sheriffs weren't held responsible for what they did (ex: they kill a rioter)
~Caught rioting: can be whipped and put into jail for a year
~To much power to small gov, instead of the central gov.
